You know I am going to say it don't you... "Where has the year gone!". October already? What?
I know I have been awol here for a while. September started out so well and then a few things happened that just knocked me off my perch.
Our local little community lost a beautiful lady named Sarah, who will be so sadly missed. I met her on Instagram of all places where she shared her life in pictures and then one day I saw at school and we awkwardly introduced ourselves in person! I am so glad that we met both virtually and in reality. Sarah was a creative woman who gave her magnificent talents in upholstery and gardening to the world in her own way. I was lucky enough to commission a piece of work for her children's room that she was doing up. I was honoured to be able to bring some brightness and light to her home and get to know her better. May the blossoms bloom for you Sarah, you gave so much.
I am lucky to have found art to soothe my soul and give brightness and light to my life when I am feeling down. During September it was good to get in my little art room and get in my little zen zone to create with my heart, head and hands. I did manage to do lots of new artwork and it felt good.
On the 10th October I will be at the Unley Community Market.
End the holidays on a high note! PAN South Sudan is excited to invite you to our annual Market Day!
Saturday October 10th, 10am - 2pm Corner of Unley Road and Edmund Avenue
- inside Unley Uniting Church and outside on the street!
We will have market stalls selling homewares, jewellery, children's toys and accessories, vintage clothing, artisan foods, and more. Outside, we will have a bouncy castle, face-painting, balloons, food (including BBQ and Devonshire Tea Room), live music and more! We'll also be showcasing the unique South Sudanese culture with music, food and products.
You can find out more about it here.
If you are in the area I would love for you to come and say hello and maybe find some goodness to bring some brightness and light to your home.
