Goodbye October...and a Christmas gift.

goodbye october

You may have noticed that I have been a lot quieter here and all my other social media channels this last month. I think I just got exhausted/ overwhelmed by trying to 'do it all'. It is quite time consuming making sure that you post something on either Instagram or Facebook everyday so that you don't lose 'followers' or potential clients.  I've come to the conclusion just in the last couple of days that if those followers really care about my artwork then they will follow my accounts regardless of how much I post. The only problem with Facebook is that if I don't post often enough no one sees my posts so the only way I can combat that is ask you to sign up to my Newsletter so you don't miss out on anything.

I have been busier in real life though attending two markets, and talking to people face to face! Thank you to all my wonderful local community who came to the Crystal Brook Kindy market and made it a very successful day. Thank you also to the organisers and stall holders who filled the day with great vibes and a really friendly atmosphere.

goodbye october For the local community members that missed me at the Market, please come and have a look at the Community Art Exhibition that will be held at the Crystal Brook RSL hall this weekend 31st October and 1st November. It is gold coin entry fee and is on from 10am -4pm both days! It will be a great collection of beautiful art from lots of local artists.

I have also been doing lots of painting which really makes my heart soar. I have been doing bigger pieces and I really am looking forward to getting bigger in the months to come. I am also lucky enough to be making some custom orders for clients and I love how I am able to hear a part of their stories and make a piece just for them.

goodbye october

As 2015 comes to a close, I have decided I won't be doing anymore markets this year, as house renovations are in full swing here (they are hammering on a new roof as we speak!).

goodbye october

I am hoping that I might have a solo exhibition in our new space before all the furniture goes in. So again please sign up for my Newletter so you don't miss out on when this might be!

In the meantime, I do want to get organised and start afresh for when all the renos are complete. So that means it's SALE time! YAY (and perfect timing with Christmas presents to buy too 😉)! So from now until Christmas Eve everything in my store will be a whopping 50% off and that includes prints too!! Please enter the discount code RENOVATIONSALE at checkout to make sure you take advantage of this great offer!

New online shopping for Jess Crawford Art

new online store for Jess Crawford Art After the Red Umbrella Market (you can read about that here). Came the aftermath of the market here at home.

In my previous post I mentioned how I went to ground in the lead-up to the market, which meant housework, organization and the day to day to running of life severely lacked. For the following week after the market I spent cleaning and trying to get some sort of routine back our lives. Hence the lack of online presence.

Can I just say... why as mothers is it up to us for the washing and ironing to be kept up, the toilet to be free from the males wayward sprays and the kitchen to be free from butter, eggs, vegemite or anything left out after use! You are hearing me aren't you?! ;)

Although, I was busy being house slave, my mind was still reeling from the excitement of the success of the market. I know that a lot of people took my business card so I really wanted to make sure that when they did come and check me out that they liked what they saw and would come back for return visits.

Last Friday I spent the entire day getting my online store up and running which is full of my original artwork and A3,A4 and A5 art prints as well. Go on take a look.... I will wait.

The direct link to my online shopping experience is www.jess-crawford-art.myshopify.com or you can click on the 'My Art' tab at the top of my website to take you for a browse.

So you are back, please tell me what you think. I would really love to hear your feedback on any improvements or even on what you really love already.
